How will others see my work?
- The draft conference program is up https://programs.sigchi.org/cscw/2022/program.
- Posters and demo presentations will happen in the CSCW Gathertown at 10am 14 Nov 2022, and 10pm 14 Nov 2022.
- During the poster/demo reception, attendees will wander around the poster and demo space, checking out various posters and demos.
- Each “booth” will contain at least one placard that represents your poster, and/or your video. Attendees can click through on these to see the content.
What should I do as a poster/demo presenter?
- Your best bet is to “hang around” your booth during the poster and demo reception. Think of yourself as a proprietor of a small shop selling ‘your research.’
- If someone wanders by and has a question, then they can ask you, and you can provide more details about your work.
Where are the links to the Gathertown space?
- The link will be distributed by email to attendees by the beginning of the conference.
- The link will not change throughout the duration of the conference, so you can bookmark it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I give a live presentation?
You will not give a formal presentation; however, there are times when multiple people will be present at the same time. In this sense, you may give a short presentation about your work!
I don’t know how to use Gathertown or Discord.
Not to worry! We are putting the finishing touches on “Getting Started” guides for both of these platforms, and will have this ready shortly.
