CSCW 2026 MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Inspired by successful meetups at other SIGCHI conferences such as CHI PLAY, CSCW 2026 is pleased to offer a Mentoring Lunch Meetup for in-person attendees on Monday during the conference (October 12).

The meetup is designed to support more structured networking across career stages by connecting attendees with peers at similar career stages and with more senior members of the CSCW community.

Whether you would like to participate as a mentor or mentee, please complete the sign-up form and tell us a little about your background. We will use this information to create small mentoring groups, typically consisting of a more senior mentor and one or two attendees at earlier career stages.

After registration closes, the Community and DEI Chairs will introduce group members by email. Each group will then coordinate where to go for lunch together on Monday.

Please note: CSCW is facilitating the mentoring matches only. Lunch is not provided or reimbursed by the conference, and participants will cover their own meal expenses. Groups should plan to go out to eat, as outside food cannot be brought back into the conference hotel.

More seasoned members of the CSCW community are especially encouraged to volunteer as mentors and share the advice, experiences, and stories they wish they had heard earlier in their careers.
