Description of the Hybrid Experience
The purpose of this document is to describe what we are planning to offer for each track to the conference attendees who will not be in person.
Papers Track
All paper sessions will be streamed
- All on-site presentations will be streamed.
- Remote participants will be able to watch the sessions and ask the presenters questions via Zoom or Discord (see instructions here)
- On-site attendees will be able to interact and ask questions to the online presenters.
Posters Track
This year, all poster presentations will take place on-site. To ensure that remote participants can engage with the poster presenters, we will hold a 1-minute madness session for each author to present their poster. This session will be live-streamed and shared with remote attendees.
During the poster sessions, a host (such as an SV) will serve as a live streamer, going around the posters and showcasing them in the live stream. Each presenter will have one minute to talk about their work. Remote participants can join the live stream to watch the tour and ask questions via the live-streaming chat room. The host can interact with the presenters on behalf of the remote participants, or interview the presenters during the tour to help them explain their work to the remote participants.
