The 17th ACM Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW 2014) will be held February 15-19 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

CSCW is the premier venue for presenting research in the design and use of technologies that affect groups, organizations, communities, and networks. Bringing together top researchers and practitioners from academia and industry in the area of social computing, CSCW encompasses both the technical and social challenges encountered when supporting collaboration.

CSCW 2014 will build on this strong history with venues including Papers, Workshops, Panels, Interactive Posters, Videos, Demonstrations, and a Doctoral Colloquium. The submission date for Papers is May 31, 2013. See the Call for Participation for additional information. Other venues will have later deadlines.

On behalf of the Conference Committee, we invite you to begin planning your submissions and participation for the 2014 conference!

Results of CSCW Community Survey: cscw-survey.pdf

Earlier this fall, the Steering Committee distributed a survey to get your feedback on recent changes to the CSCW Conference review and publication process and the conference program. We want to take this chance to once again thank all of you (nearly 300 of you!) who responded to the survey.

Here is a summary of the results of the survey: cscw-survey.pdf
Survey Questions are located here: survey-questions.pdf

In addition, we will make the full results of the survey and a detailed description of the questions available to anyone who would like to do additional analysis of the data themselves. If you do this, we would ask you contribute your analyses back to us, so they can be shared with the whole community and can be used to guide the decisions we make moving forward.
