Posters are an opportunity to describe new work or work that is still in progress and will be more lightly reviewed than full papers. The presentation of a poster has been key for engaging provocative discussions at CSCW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Submissions can include, but are not limited to late-breaking and preliminary results, smaller results not suitable for a full or short paper, contributions by collaborative (inter-)national research projects, innovative ideas not yet validated through user studies, early student research, and other research best presented in an interactive forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SUBMISSION-REQUIREMENTS\"><\/span><strong>SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Poster abstract submissions should be between 4-6 pages, including all figures but excluding references, in one of the ACM Primary Article Templates (Note: we are no longer using an extended abstract format). This is the same template used for full papers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul data-block-type=\"core\">\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/binaries\/content\/assets\/publications\/taps\/acm_submission_template.docx\">Microsoft Word for Windows<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/portalparts.acm.org\/hippo\/enhanced_word_templates\/MAC_2011\/mac_2011.zip\">Microsoft Word Mac 2011<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/portalparts.acm.org\/hippo\/enhanced_word_templates\/MAC_2016\/mac_2016.zip\">Microsoft Word Mac 2016<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/portalparts.acm.org\/hippo\/latex_templates\/acmart-primary.zip\">LaTeX (Use sample-manuscript.tex for submissions)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overleaf.com\/latex\/templates\/acm-journals-new-master-template\/vgtfrcvmrvxf\">Overleaf (or search for ACM Conference Proceedings \u201cMaster\u201d Template)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>Please submit the manuscript in PDF format, following the ACM Master Article Submission Templates (double column). <\/strong>The submission should include author names (not anonymous submission).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Poster abstract submissions must be uploaded online at the Precision Conference System (select CSCW 2024 Posters from the \u201cTrack\u201d drop down menu) to be considered. All attachments must be less than 5MB.&nbsp; Poster will be published in ACM Digital Library and distributed to conference attendees as part of the Conference Companion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"REVIEW-PROCESS\"><\/span><strong>REVIEW PROCESS<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Posters receive 3 reviews and one Meta review from CSCW PC committee. While the review process is lighter than main track papers we encourage the authors to state the contribution and originality of your work clearly and explicitly: What is the problem? How does your approach help? Why is it better than other available approaches? Focus on the contribution of your work rather than the background, including just enough background to make clear how your work differs from significant prior research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">For examples of last year\u2019s posters see: <a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/proceedings\/10.1145\/3584931\">https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/proceedings\/10.1145\/3584931<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"POST-ACCEPTANCE\"><\/span><strong>POST-ACCEPTANCE<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Authors of accepted posters are required to submit their final camera-ready by <s>26<\/s> 30 July 2024 for inclusion in the ACM Digital Library. Additionally, authors will be asked to prepare a 1-page poster and an optional pre-recorded video for presentation at the conference, which should be designed to meet the following guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul data-block-type=\"core\">\n<li data-block-type=\"core\">Clearly and explicitly state the contribution and originality of your work: What is the problem? How does your approach address it? Why is it superior to other available approaches? Interactive poster abstracts may be selected based on either the significance of the problem or the novelty of your approach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\">Focus on the contribution of your work rather than the background, including only enough background to make it clear how your work differs from significant prior research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\">Include the main graphical elements that will likely be used in the poster itself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">As the poster session of the CSCW 2024 is fully in-person, we expect at least one author for each accepted poster to attend and present their work. Poster authors will need to bring a physical poster that can be displayed during the poster session at the conference. The space allocated for each poster is 48 inches by 48 inches (121 x 121 cm). Posters are recommended to be no longer or wider than 45 inches (114 cm) in either dimension; however, up to 47 inches (119 cm) is allowable. Smaller posters are acceptable. For example, either A0 (vertical format) or A1 is an acceptable size for the poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Posters should be affixed to the poster boards with push pins, not tape. The conference will provide push pins. Each board will have a label indicating where your poster should be placed; please allow time to find your board and set up your poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-7a1c1b7\" id=\"printing-your-poster\" data-block-id=\"7a1c1b7\"><h3 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PRINTING-YOUR-POSTER\"><\/span>PRINTING YOUR POSTER<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-d5ed293\" data-block-id=\"d5ed293\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">We recommend printing the posters before traveling to the conference.
