We invite authors to submit their best research on all topics relevant to collaborative and social computing. Accepted papers are published in two annual CSCW issues of the Proceedings of the ACM on Human Computer Interaction (PACM HCI).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ffe3ac1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ffe3ac1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--color_content_background);\">Submissions are accepted at four deadlines per year. In addition to checking the \u201cAgreeing to Review\u201d check box when making the submission, authors should also sign up as a reviewer in PCS.<\/span><\/p><p>*<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting with the April 2021 cycle, papers that receive a Major Revision decision will be asked to wait two cycles before submitting their revisions. For example, authors receiving a Major Revision decision at the end of June 2021 for a submission to the April 2021 track will be asked to resubmit their revised papers in October 2021 (rather than in July OR October 2021). This decision was made to allow the necessary time for major revisions (previously three weeks to the earlier deadline) and to simplify the review process.<\/span><\/p><ul><li>CSCW 2021 will use the old interim ACM Small template.\u00a0For details and links to template pages, see under \u201cFormatting and Length.\u201d<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions can receive one of four decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, and Reject. For details, see under \u201cRevision Cycles and Decisions.\u201d<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting with the October 2020 cycle, authors of rejected papers may revise and submit their revised papers from three cycles onwards, but not before. The scope of CSCW 2021 includes social computing and social media, crowdsourcing, open and remote collaboration, technologically-enabled or enhanced communication, such as video-conferencing and other remote-presence technologies, CSCL, MOOCs and related educational technologies, multi-user input technologies, collocated work practices, work articulation and coordination, awareness, and information sharing. This scope spans socio-technical domains of work, home, education, healthcare, the arts, sociality, entertainment, and ethics. Authors should submit their revised manuscript within the next two cycles, along with a letter explaining how they addressed the reviewers\u2019 comments and incorporated changes in the revision. For example, an October submission receiving a Major Revision decision must be resubmitted to either the January or the April cycle. To the extent possible, resubmissions will be assigned the same AC and reviewers for re-review. Upon re-review, submissions can receive one of two decisions: Accept with minor revisions or Reject. Unlike most journals, the current CSCW review process does not allow for more than one major revision due to reviewer availability and time constraints.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Reject<\/strong>: Due to the ever-increasing submission numbers and the limited reviewer pool, starting with the October 2020 cycle, authors of rejected papers are not allowed to resubmit their papers in the two cycles following the Reject decision. The Editor may choose to involve the ACs at this stage<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other Editors weigh in and review the case<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Editors come to a collective decision and share their decision with the Papers Chairs\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Papers Chairs discuss the Editors\u2019 decision.
